Marijuana and Cocaine are the primary drugs of choice in Argentina not only for use but also for distribution. The massive cocaine distribution that occurs has also contributed to the deaths of thousands of people in Shanty Towns in Buenos Aires and other poor slums. This is due to the bad production chemicals from the cocaine that are normally discarded are now being sold for cheap in the poorest of places.
Marijuana still has a heavy influence in Argentina as it is widely grown and distributed not only thoughout the country but imported into the U.S. and Europe on a regular basis.

It is so low grade and toxic that it’s basically just a mixture of chemicals with no purity to it whatsoever. It is often mixed with such substances as sulphuric acid, kerosene, rat poison and even crushed glass. Costs only 1 or 2 pesos for a hit. Highly addictive so it drives them to steal or do anything possible to get funding for their addiction.

The problems in Argentina were #1. Marijauna, #2. Cocaine, with Paco being a close #3. Now Paco is becoming the main drug. And its not by choice. It is the cheapest drug to find and also the worst to consume. Users are often refered to as the "The Walking Dead". It makes an intense high which only lasts a matter of seconds. Once the addiction sets in they can never get enough, unless stopped or lucky enough to have the funding to get help. Most are not this lucky.
Hopefully one day I will have the ability to do something to help my country with this problem. I think with the right Political pull we could get some of the corruptness out of the government and drive out some of the cartels and other heavy producers of these drugs.
